Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy is a technique for obtaining “live” X-ray images that allows our radiologists to clearly view internal organs and watch tissues function in real time on the monitor screen. A contrast medium—usually barium sulfate—is usually ingested to make bodily processes, like digestion, easier to see during the imaging study.

Preparation

Be sure to follow the preparation instructions provided for your specific fluoroscopy study.

Holiday Hours: Open Christmas Eve until noon, New Year's Eve until 3 PM; closed Christmas & New Year's Day.
