Advanced Radiology is one of the first radiology groups in Connecticut to be named a Prostate Cancer MRI Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Our three Connecticut locations in Fairfield, Stamford, and Orange proudly serve as the destination Centers of Excellence for prostate cancer imaging. This distinction recognizes Advanced Radiology’s commitment to the detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer MRI Center of Excellence distinguishes Advanced Radiology as an MRI provider of safe, effective diagnostic imaging for prostate cancer patients, along with early detection of the disease.

Plan Premiums are the “entry fees” for health insurance and are paid by all policyholders. If you get your Health Care through your employer, a portion of your premium may be paid by the company. Premiums are simply the cost of purchasing an insurance policy. They do not apply to your deductible, and do not apply directly to the cost of your care. Deductibles are the cumulative amounts each covered individual or family must pay before an insurance plan begins to pay out against claims. Individual health plan policyholders pay for their Health Care in full until their cumulative expenses meet their deductible amount. After meeting their deductible, insurance pays for all or a percentage of Health Care costs, depending on whether or not the plan requires co-insurance (see below). For example, if your plan has a co-insurance requirement of 20%, once your deductible has been met, you pay only 20% of costs going forward, until the maximum out-of-pocket limit is reached, after which your insurance plan pays 100% of costs. New Location Offers Leading Edge Technology and Patient-Centered Care in a Refreshing New Space Shelton, Conn. (July 31, 2017) – Advanced Radiology Consultants has announced the relocation of its Stamford imaging center to 1259 East Main Street in Stamford, CT. Open as of July 24, the new imaging center combines the most advanced diagnostic imaging technologies in a new environment designed to optimize patient comfort and convenience. The new Stamford imaging center is located just off Interstate 95, Exit 9, next-door to WWE, providing easier access for patients in and around the Stamford area. The center will offer a complete range of diagnostic imaging, including 3T wide-bore MRI, CT scanning, digital screening and diagnostic mammography with 3D breast tomosynthesis, ultrasound, bone densitometry, and digital X-ray. The new 3T wide-bore MRI is equipped with GE’s SilentScan technology, which significantly reduces the noise associated with traditional MRIs. In May of this year, The American College of Radiology (ACR) Council elected Alan D. Kaye, MD, FACR, as its new president. Dr. Kaye is a managing member of Advanced Radiology Consultants, LLC of Connecticut, former chairman of radiology at Bridgeport Hospital for 22 years, and on the medical staffs of Bridgeport, Yale New Haven and St. Vincent’s Hospitals. He is currently a member of the ACR Budget and Finance Committee, Radiology Integrated Care Network and numerous ACR commissions, including Government Relations, Economics, and Informatics. As ACR president, he will be a member of the College’s Board of Chancellors and Executive and Budget and Finance committees. Kaye previously served as a speaker of the ACR Council and member of the Council Steering Committee and many other ACR commissions and committees. Dr. Kaye received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut, and has interests in administrative radiology and health policy. He currently serves as president of the Radiological Society of Connecticut.
