CT angiography uses a CT (Computed Tomography) scanner to produce detailed images of blood vessels and tissues of the body. A contrast material (dye) is injected by IV so radiologists can examine blood flow to various parts of the body, including:
- Brain
- Neck
- Heart
- Chest
- Abdomen, including the kidneys and liver
- Pelvis
- Legs and feet
- Arms and hands
Doctors use CT angiography to detect aneurysms and blood clots, and to examine arteries for atherosclerosis, or plaque build-up.
CT scans are available at the following Advanced Radiology locations
